Shaker Ladder back rockers have been built in our Bethel,Maine workshops for over thirty-four years. Our rocking chairs are made from native hard maple and select cherry. We also make on "special order" reproduction Shaker rockers in curly and birdseye maple as well as Indiana walnut. We custom build our Shaker Rocking Chairs so there are options in size and arm styles. The rocking chairs pictured below all feature arms with "mushroom" caps, originally utilized by the Shakers to hold the arm on the front post tenon. To save our customers a costly freight cost, all our rocking chairs are shipped by FedEx Ground with the runners removed. They are easily attached by screws in countersunk, predrilled holes that are on the inside part of the leg .
We will also ship the rocking chairs with the runners attached via freight.
