How To Order Our Shaker Chairs & Shaker Counterstools
S. Timberlake offers four distinctive back styles on our
Shaker Chairs. These styles are distinguished by their finials (or
pommels) or shawl bar which accentuate the tops of the back posts.
The finials on Shaker chairs are a good way to identify the
"community" where they were originally made. Our back styles are
named for the communities where the finials were produced. Our
finials are what we consider "composite reproductions." This means we
have made a finial that we feel is a fair interpretation of a number
of finials we have seen from the same community.

Unless noted, we will continue to
scribe only the finials of the Enfield and Canterbury chairs.
"Scribed" back posts are available for an additional $35.00 per
chair.
Painted Chairs
The paint we prefer for our chairs
is Cabot's
"The Finish" The colors are
beautiful and the Teflon additive helps to protect for tough wear.
The upcharge for painted chairs is $35.00 per chair.
