Chairs - Paddedback
Shaker chairs,
like most Shaker furniture, are eye-catching in their simplicity.
Shaker tape in a variety of colors draws the eye and the clean lines
accentuate the balance of form and function. Shaker Paddedback chairs
from S. Timberlake are built with the same concerns for detail as the
original Shaker furniture makers. Each Shaker chair is reproduced one
chair at a time to ensure proper construction. All our chairs are
available in your choice four back
styles. Pricing is the same for each back style.
We offer several styles of the Shaker Paddedback Chair and have
incorporated a lumbar support in the back inset of one of our chairs
for those with a need for pressure on the lower back (see SUN1X and
SUN1A chairs below).
The Canterbury Paddedback Dining Chairs have a back that follows the
curve of the top slat and sits quite nicely.
All S. Timberlake Shaker Paddedback Chairs have an inch and a half
of solid polyurethane foam padding in the backs and seats for
comfort.
Shaker Canterbury Paddedback Chair with Arms

The simple vase turnings of the front posts and the subtle, oblong
shape of the Canterbury finials are make this reproduction a popular
piece for dining room or study. The Shaker style blends well in any
home with mixed design styles. If it is a certain designer style you

be adapted with a removable back pad

Paddedback Chairs with "Inset" Paddedback
The first Shaker-style Paddedback Dining Chairs we made
had a back style similar to the one found on the chairs below. We
revised the back over the years to accomodate a concern for persons
needing a little more support and pressure on the lower back.

Style: South Union)
This chair features the South Union finial. Dimensions are
the same as the Canterbury Paddedback Arm Chair. Also available with
"mushroom cap" arms.
Shaker-style Paddedback Side Chair

Dimensions for the CAN1X are the same as the Canterbury
Padded Back Side Chair above.
