South Union Ladderback Reproduction Chairs
Since 1974 we have turned a finial to grace our back chair legs that we
saw on a chair made at the Shaker Community in South Union, Kentucky.
It is a plain, low, simple finial that is rounded at the top. Because of these characteristics,
one's eyes are not immediately drawn to the posts. We liked how the overall simplicity
of the chairs balanced, and how all the elements of the chairs parts created our
ideal of a simple, functional chair.
