We have never been so presumptuous as to consider our designs or Shaker furniture will work well or look beautiful in every home. It is why we insist on listening to our customers and assisting them with selecting the right furniture for their home. Beds and casework used for storage are the pieces we most often build "one-of-a-kind" pieces of.
Central Park Bed We made this red oak sleigh bed with a trundle bed that has side skirts cut to follow the curve of the head and footboards. Our New York City client's residence overlooks Central Park which inspired us to design a bed that is reminiscent of a park bench (like this one, beautifully captured by Damon Grimes (https://damonscanvas.com/2013/02/18/lonely-bench-in-new-york/).
We have made many beds with to fit the needs of our customers and our designs reflect their personal interests , location, and style preference. This contemporary bed is freestanding and the headboard sits within a bookcase.
Mt. Will Bed We made this solid eastern white pine bed from lumber recalimed from our client's old barn. The wood in the head and footboards are single boards 22" wide. The bedposts were cut from an 8" X 8" beam using Carver Woodworking's portable sawmill. $1,900.00
Alex Bed This solid cherry queen size bed was inspired by our customer's existing furniture. The shape of the headboard was drawn from the trim of one of his favorite, antique cabinets. The height of the headboard is 46" and the mattress height was determined by our customer. $2,500.00
Red Birch Lodge Our red birch bedroom set was designed for a seaside lodge and would be in the right home if it were on a hillside as well. The bed shown was built specifically for a Spring Air mattress.

Maker's Note - We made a stand up desk for John and he also found a need for a stand that could hold a small printer and have a single file drawer for current projects. The solution we arrived at is a dovetailed stand with a pullout shelf for the printer and file drawer with additional room for storing other useful items. The three inch castors we installed makes this stand is easy for him to wheel around his work area.
