Shaker style desks and writing tables are built to work the way you do. Drawers are sized and placed where you need them. Keyboard shelves, wire management, and media storage may be incorporated into your desk so you can have all the high-tech you want built into a design that is practical and functional. If you want a custom, Shaker style desk, built just right, you probably won't find it at one of the stores or catalogs selling imported furniture or furniture made from kits. Shaker Desks

We offer two sizes of our Shaker desks, both named for two of our co-founders, Sam and Natalie Timberlake, Nan's and Sam's Desk. The configuration and dimensions of the desktop storage are entirely customizable to work the way you work. View more designs on our Custom Furniture pages. Nan loved the slanted, flip up top desk where she could store her stories and other writing projects. Sam liked the deep, long flat work area to draw and the drawers to stick stuff. Co-founder Ross was apparently too busy in the shop to need or want more than a lapdesk or a notebook at the time they introduced desks to their catalog. Today he works most days (when he has to be at a desk) on a trestle table with a freestanding two drawer file cabinet tucked underneath or rolling around on casters.
